  • Dr. Karen Houle (University of Guelph) : Becoming Girl : Reading along with Deleuze and Guattari, and on Molecularity and Girlhood

As a feminist thinker and philosopher, Dr. Houle will examine the following points “First, that ‘becoming woman occupies a privileged place in relation to becomings’ (303); second, that ‘it must be said that all becomings begin with and pass through becoming-woman’ (306); third, that ‘the molecular woman is the girl herself (305, my emphasis); and fourth, ‘The body is stolen first from the girl.’ (305)”
